About Hempen

Hempen  began as an idea – to form a resilient rural community centred around the cultivation of hemp. They had heard that this miracle plant could do so much, clothe us, house us, fuel us, feed us and heal us. So, they wanted to practically work with hemp in a holistic, ethical and regenerative way. 

Hempen has become a beacon of hope for a more regenerative future. 

They are a worker’s co-op where their long-standing workers become directors. Hempen is made up of its members, workers, volunteers, distributers and customers.

People visit here because they have heard about the wonders that hemp can offer, to experience a sense of community or to see their co-op in action. More recently, they have been reaching out to those that might not know about these things, so they can share the amazing wisdom of hemp and invite more people to visit.
